Under the patronage of the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Rakan Nassreldine, the Department of Gynecology and Abnormal Placentation organized the 2nd National Day dedicated to the placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), under the theme: “From Early Diagnosis to Multidisciplinary Excellence.”

The event took place in the presence of the representative of His Excellency the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Pierre Anhoury, the Director General of Hôtel-Dieu de France, Mr. Nassib Nasr, the President of the Lebanese Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (LSOG) and Head of the Department of Gynecology and Abnormal Placentation, Professor David Atallah, the co-founder and head of the Lebanese Percreta Group, Professor Muhieddine Seoud, as well as the representative of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and President of the Lebanese Society of Anesthesiology, Professor Samia Gebara.

The event brought together numerous healthcare professionals and experts from Lebanon and abroad, who shared their knowledge on current topics such as the epidemiology and increasing incidence of PAS, risk stratification, the essential role of imaging, surgical anatomy and the operative approach to cesarean hysterectomy, management of unexpected cases, patient follow-up planning, the organization of centers of excellence, multidisciplinary approaches and support systems, the role of interventional radiology through balloon occlusion and embolization, anesthetic challenges, as well as massive transfusion protocols and the use of hemostatic agents.

This day served as a platform for national and international scientific exchange, contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical practices in the management of PAS.
