Smoking Cessation Center

The Smoking Cessation Center at Hôtel-Dieu de France, established in 2006, is a one of a kind center in Lebanon. It is a partner of the French Society for Tobaccology and is one of the ex-smokers centers in the world.

The Center has a specialized consultation and support unit dedicated for smoking cessation and composed:

• of a doctor responsible for evaluating the medical case and deciding on the treatment plan in order to ensure follow-up.

•  a nurse specially trained to welcome, give initial advice, ensure check-ups and follow up by SMS or calls.

•  a psychologist trained in cognitive and behavioral therapy to assess motivation, set up the psychological treatment plan and ensure weekly follow-up.

•  two nutritionists from the hospital available at the patient's demand and when needed.
