Pediatric Surgery

The Department of Pediatric Surgery at HDF was founded in 1980 by Prof. Georges Korkmaz, one of the pioneers of pediatric surgery in Lebanon. Over the years, it has grown and now includes 5 surgeons who work closely with the hospital's Pediatric Department.

The Department of Pediatric Surgery provides care for thoracic, abdominal, and urogenital surgical pathologies in newborns and children under 18 years of age. The surgeons also teach this branch of medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at Saint Joseph University of Beirut.
