Pediatric Surgery

The Department of Pediatric Surgery at HDF was founded in 1980 by Prof. Georges Korkmaz, one of the pioneers of pediatric surgery in Lebanon. It has grown over the years and currently includes 5 surgeons who work closely with the hospital's Pediatric Department.

The Department of Pediatric Surgery provides care for thoracic, abdominal and urogenital surgical pathologies for newborns and children under 18 years. The surgeons also teach this branch of medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the Saint Joseph University of Beirut.
