The Otorhinolaryngology Department of Hôtel-Dieu de France, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine of Saint Joseph University, organized a scientific day entitled “Hands-on Cadaver Dissection Course – Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and Temporal Bone Surgery.”

During this event, several experts shared their knowledge and experiences on a wide range of topics, including sino-nasal anatomy and surgical landmarks in endoscopy, complications of endoscopic surgery, surgical anatomy and radiology of the temporal bone, as well as the latest recommendations for asthma management, particularly refractory forms and targeted therapies such as anti-IgE treatments and biologics.

Discussions also addressed innovative approaches in the treatment of chronic sinusitis, from traditional therapies to surgery and biologics, recurrent sinus infections in patients with congenital immunodeficiencies, nasal health in the context of systemic diseases, neonatal hearing screening, the genetics of hearing loss, recent advances in cochlear implantation, and follow-up of children with cochlear implants.

The day concluded with a discussion and roundtable focused on complex cochlear implant cases, fostering a rich exchange of insights between specialists and participants.
