Visit of Mr. Renaud Muselier, President of the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur at HDF

Mr. Renaud Muselier, President of the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, accompanied by a large French delegation from the region, paid a solidarity visit to Hôtel-Dieu de France on September 23. Mr. Muselier began his visit with the exhibition of the Centenary of Hôtel-Dieu de France in the main hall of the hospital, accompanied by Professor Salim Daccache s.j., Rector of the University of Saint-Joseph and Chairman of the Board of Directors of tHôtel-Dieu and the Director General of USJ-HDF hospital network, Mr. Nassib Nasr, and representatives of the HDF management.

Mr. Muselier then went to the Emergency Department and met with its Head of Department Dr. Antoine Zoghbi and his team of nurses and ended the tour at the new Ophthalmology Department.

At the Directorate-General, a small welcoming ceremony took place, during which Mr. Muselier met the directors and the different medical and care teams. In his speech, Professor Salim Daccache s.j. welcomed Mr. Muselier and thanked him for his visit of solidarity and support. He then insisted on the importance of the collaboration between Lebanon and France especially at the university level. In his turn, Mr. Muselier thanked the HDF for its warm welcome. He thanked the teams for their tremendous efforts towards their patients and expressed his readiness to develop new links in order to welcome doctors and other professionals from the HDF for training in France.

Professor Elie Nemr, Vice-Dean of the USJ Faculty of Medicine, thanked Mr. Muselier for his supportive visit during the difficult times the country is going through and spoke about the historical links between the USJ Faculty of Medicine and France.
