Our Lady of Peace Hospital - Kobayat joins the USJ - HDF Hospital Network

The growing economic depression hitting Lebanon today is considered one of the most severe economic crises in its contemporary history. The latter not only led to the dismantling of the healthcare model in force in the country, but also to the weakening of its institutions. To fight against this, Hôtel-Dieu de France and its hospital network are working continuously to support other medical establishments in order to get them back on their feet.

Thus, and in the context of expanding the USJ - HDF network on Lebanese territory, an agreement was reached between the General Superior of the Maronite Antonine Sisters, Sister Nazha Khoury, the Rector of Saint-Joseph University and President of the Board of Directors of Hôtel-Dieu de France, Father Salim Daccache s.j., and the Director General of the USJ – HDF hospital network, Mr. Nassib Nasr, which aims to ensure that Our Lady of Peace Hospital of the Antonine Sisters - Kobayat joins the USJ - HDF hospital network. Hôtel-Dieu will contribute to the management and support of Our Lady of Peace hospital, starting October 1, 2023. As for the next steps of this project, they are still under consideration and will be announced later.

This agreement will help support the inhabitants of Kobayat and the surrounding area. It will also contribute to the revitalization of a prestigious health facility in northern Lebanon.
