HDF imaging department performs first interventional procedure in Lebanon

The Imaging Department of HDF carried out the first interventional procedure in Lebanon, to save the life of a patient with coronavirus that underwent a resuscitation procedure because she suffered from a severe bleeding and shock.

The emergency embolization of the artery involved, by a minimally invasive endovascular technique, had the immediate effect of stopping the bleeding and clinical deterioration. The patient is currently in recovery.
