Agreement between the Hôtel-Dieu de France University Center (HDF) and the Saint Joseph University Hospital of the Sisters of the Cross

In the context of the health and economic challenges currently facing Lebanon, it has become essential for medical institutions to remain united and strengthen their capacity to meet patients' healthcare needs. To this end, a cooperation agreement has been signed between the Hôtel-Dieu de France University Medical Center and the Saint Joseph University Hospital of the Sisters of the Cross.

The agreement was formalized at Hôtel-Dieu de France in the presence of the Rector of Saint Joseph University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hôtel-Dieu de France, Rev. Prof. Salim Daccache, S.J., the General Director of the USJ-HDF Hospital Network, Mr. Nassib Nasr, the General Director of Saint Joseph University Hospital, Rev. Sister Jihane Khoryati, and local advisor of Saint Joseph, Rev. Sister Tamam Salameh.

Representing the Saint Joseph University Hospital of the Sisters of the Cross were Dr. Georges Nawfal, Director of Medical Affairs, former Medical Director Prof. Jean Biagini, and the Head of the Surgery Department, Prof. Pierre Sarkis. From Hôtel-Dieu de France, attendees included the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Elie Nemr, the Director of Medical Affairs, Prof. Ass. Georges Dabar, the Director of Nursing, Rev. Sister Suzanne Eid, the President of the Medical Council, Prof. Elias Chlela, and Mr. Charbel Nasim, Mission Officer of the Hospital Network.

This partnership aims to strengthen cooperation between the two hospitals in all areas where they can mutually support each other. This includes an exchange of medical, nursing, and technical expertise to respond more effectively to the growing needs of patients.

The cooperation will be carried out respecting the capacities and resources of each institution, in a spirit of solidarity and continuous improvement of care.

The signed agreement marks an important step in strengthening the hospital infrastructure in Lebanon and confirms the commitment of both institutions to provide quality care to patients, despite the current challenges.
