The Department of Internal Medicine and Immunology, together with the Department of Hematology-Oncology, organized the first multidisciplinary workshop dedicated to immunotherapy in oncology, held at the Auditorium of Hôtel-Dieu de France.
This scientific meeting brought together numerous healthcare professionals to discuss the current challenges of immunotherapy in cancer care. Presentations and discussions focused on the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) across several indications, including lung cancer, kidney and bladder cancers, melanoma, gastrointestinal cancers, triple-negative breast cancer, gynecological cancers, as well as hematologic malignancies.
A significant portion of the program was also devoted to the main toxicities associated with immunotherapy, particularly dermatologic, endocrine, gastrointestinal, and respiratory toxicities, multisystem involvement, as well as the financial challenges related to these treatments.
Interactive exchanges enriched the discussions throughout the day.
The final session was dedicated to funding solutions and strategies aimed at improving patient access to innovative therapies.
