As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and under the theme “Octobre O’clock”, Hôtel-Dieu de France organized a special health awareness day within the framework of the Cellule 07 initiatives. The event was entirely dedicated to women, with the aim of promoting prevention and early detection of breast and cervical cancers, while encouraging the adoption of a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The event included the distribution of vouchers for a series of free medical tests, including Pap smears, human papillomavirus (HPV) testing, mammography, and breast ultrasound.
In addition, lung function tests and carbon monoxide (CO) measurements were carried out by the Smoking Cessation Center (CST).

The event brought together a distinguished team of residents, nurses, and specialists from various departments, including Oncology, Gynecology, Family Medicine, Psychiatry, and Neurology. All worked hand in hand to support and guide women, offering them medical advice and examinations, and providing the opportunity for direct interaction with specialized healthcare teams to discuss a variety of health topics.

More than 200 women participated in this health-focused event, benefiting from a wide array of educational and wellness activities such as sessions on healthy nutrition, physical exercise, Pilates, and self-care. Other sessions addressed key issues including mental health, sleep quality, smoking cessation, and the prevention of chronic diseases, in an atmosphere of constructive dialogue and positive engagement with healthcare professionals.

The success of this day reflects Hôtel-Dieu de France’s unwavering commitment to its humanitarian and social mission through the efforts of Cellule 07, and its continuous dedication to spreading a culture of prevention and health awareness within the community — reaffirming that taking care of one’s health begins with a small step toward awareness and early detection.
